Donna Richardson Joyner
Donna Richardson Joyner, a native of Silver Spring, Maryland and was Montgomery Blair High School’s first African-American homecoming queen. Donna has been a inspirational leader and instructor in the fitness industry most of her life.
Donna’s purpose and mission in life is to help you become a better steward of your temple.
Donna began her fitness career as an aerobics instructor, and holds AFAA and ACE Certifications as an International Fitness Expert. She soon began to teach other instructors and compete in aerobics competitions nationally and internationally.
She became co-host of the ESPN Fitness Pros Show, co-starred in her first commercial fitness tape, Platinum Buns of Steel and Donna was even was selected by The Oprah Winfrey Show as one of the “Top 5 Fitness Video Instructors”.
Fitness Magazine chose her as one of their “Top 10 Movers and Shakers” and she was inducted into the Fitness Magazine Fitness Hall of Fame.
Donna was the star and Executive producer of Sweating in the Spirit, one of the first gospel workouts available.
Richardson Joyner has lectured in 40 countries and has been a featured motivational speaker with several national tours including God’s Leading Ladies, Sisters In The Spirit, and the Pantene Total You.
Donna was named by Essence Magazine for being “one out of 25 most inspiring women in America” in 2006.
Donna helps churches & communities live healthier lifestyles by incorporating good nutrition and daily physical activity to improve overall wellness.
Donna R Joyner Foundation is dedicated to the education, health, and wealth of children, women, and families. She is the founder of “GROW Green Get Fit”, outreach program that educates and empowers schools and universities by showing them how to grow “Gardens of Hope”, eat healthier, become physically active, and give back to their communities.
